Hi, I'm Mallory Skwiat and the kitchen in my house is my domain. It is truly my happy place. As a child I dreamed of owning a restaurant, but life took me in a different direction far far away from the glorious kitchen. To be honest, it may have been a blessing in disguise because my passion for cooking has never dulled. That being said, it is nice to know that I always have an outlet for my creativity and lucky enough to have a husband who tolerates my "creativity"!
Later in life I developed sensitivities to a few "key foods". Basic, I know, but what am I going to do about it!! I try to make my recipes versatile to omit gluten and dairy, but sometimes I indulge! Sue me, well don't because that is just crazy!

I love going trying new recipes, but I don't want to read 12 pages about how this particular banana bread recipe is life changing. I don't have time for that and realistically, I will be the judge of that! My approach is, recipe first, chit chat later. I know that everyone is short on time, so if you want to read about why I think chickpeas are the most underrated legume, GO FOR IT! Because seriously people, start appreciating chickpeas!
Food has a special ability to bring people together but it also has an impact on the planet. My personal focus is cooking to save time but also to be respectful of Mother Earth! I 100% am that crazy person to recycle everything and anything possible, but am I the crazy one? Or is it crazy not to do it?
